Protagonists
- James Sterling - Wealthy Industrialist (Panos)
- Donna, Sterling - Anthropology Student (John)
- Sean O’Neil - Bodyguard (Istvan)
- Dirk Kessler - Private Investigator (Tasos)
2nd of November 1930 - 10PM - Star Pools
As the group moves further into the jungle, Donna realizes that she is no longer wearing the Sharp Stone amulet. Kessler has it around his neck.
James realizes that there is a sound of water coming from the north and decides to follow it. He ends up in front of a grotesque scene where he sees his dead body stomped and his inner organs splat around. He can’t help it and pisses himself.
Donna moves ahead on her own just to be yanked back to Kessler by an invisible force.
Kessler realizes that Donna, James & Sean are dead, and that he is the only survivor. He could not cope with what he had seen, and so to compensate Kessler recreated all his dead companions as other personalities of himself.
The Star Pools
Eventually they arrived and looked out across an expanse of pools with water green as fire. There were half a dozen of them, ellipsoid, mirror flat, separated by huge mammocked trees and grasslands swaying in a fumy and spirituous mist.
The area is surrounded by monoliths of black rock carved with ancient inscriptions. Three single-room wooden huts face out across the pools. Hundreds of believers dance to the beat of ritualistic drumming.
The groups stealth around to the huts. In the first one they see King Kaliko, preparing to join the ritual. In the second one they find Jack Sterling. The ears, cheeks, forehead, and scalp were still clear, but he had the mouth of an iguana, and his eyes were ringed with black circle. His fingers were gradually becoming webbed, and his joints rearranged so that he could move his body as could no other human.
Kessler goes into a bout of madness and start shooting at Jack, while James embraces his son and Donna her brother. Shawn, still believing he’s wielding a gun, “shoots” Jack in the 3rd eye and injures him. Kessler finishes him off with a bullet in the eye.
King Kaliko and the cultists apprehend Kessler, restrain and knock him out.
A few days, or perhaps weeks later, Kessler becomes the Host and through him, during another ritual, the Floating Horror is brought forth into the world.
The End.
