30th of October 1930 - Elmwood Military Hospital, Port-au-Prince, Haiti#

The investigators wake up in a plain hospital room. There are 6 beds in the room and 4 of them are occupied. There is a fan in the ceiling, not powerful enough to circulate the air in the room.

We find ourselves in sweat, it is hot and humid, our clothes are sticking on us.

There is a door on one side of the room and there is an open window with bars on the other side of the room.

We are all wearing pajamas. There are slippers under the bed. The floor is made our of wooden planks.

Dirk stands up and go towards the door.

As we approach the window we see a tropical environment. There is a courtyard and a high brick wall. We are on the ground floor. We hear some people talking in the distance.

Tuesday October 28th 1930. There is also a number, a patient number.

There is a man standing in the corner. He introduced himself as Dr. Allan Kelly. Elmwood Military Hospital in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This is US military facility and this is why we have noticed that there are some troops here.

We were found wondering a couple of days ago in the western hills outside the city in sunrise. We were exposed to nature and apart from a few scratches we were unharmed. There was mud on our clothes.

A nurse enters the room and we get a blackout again. We hear her say “Baron LaCroix has you marked sir!”. The voodoo master of the dead and keeper of cemeteries.

We knock at the door and the doctor comes again.

The doctor is Alan Kelly, he is monitoring us for the last days. He tells us that we had several blackouts and amnesia. This was the first time we recognised him.

He informs us of some missing details such as that we stayed in Hotal Olofsson.

We tell him that we need to leave the hospital as we are now much better. He tells us that it is true that we are better and that he will talk with his supervisor before we can leave.

Major Medwin enters the room later that day and he gives us his business card. He talks to us about the situation. We explain to him that we need to go back to the hotel and he offers to drive us there.

He asked us the following questions:

• Why are you in Haiti?
• Why were you doing in the hills outside Port-au-Prince two nights ago?
• Who hired you to come to Haiti in the first place? (asked to Kessler)

Hotel Olofsson#

Major Lloyd Medwin drove us to our hotel. In the reception we meet Nathaniel who recognises us and gives us our room keys. Nathaniel asks if we would like to get access to our stuff on the safe. Dirk got his stuff and he found the following:

• 2x 45 Revolvers, 2x 38 Revolver
• Paperwork about Sterling and more info about Sterling hiring Dirk Kessler
• Dirk also found in his room a disassembled 12-gauge shotgun.
• Matchbox from Sugar Cane Lounge

James Sterling goes to the bar to drink some gin & tonic with extra quinine.

Donna goes to her room. Sean follows her. Dirk goes to his room.

Sean finds a Death Tarrot Card upside down in the mirror.

When Donna enters her room she gets a blackout as the rest of the investigators too.

When the investigators wake up from the blackout they gather together in Dirk’s room.

Things we did and/or discussed:

• Donna’s mother (Ms Sterling) doesnt recognize’s Dona on the phone
• Kessler also called Ms Sterling but did not manage to talk a lot, she hung up when Kessler mentioned Donna
• James Sterling son came here previously we came after him to find him
• James Sterling hired Dirk Kessler
• Dirk asked the receptionist Martin to follow us the next day
• We want to visit the tarrot lady

Later that day we went to sleep
