Pitzerelli Calling (Sunday, September 4th, 2016)#

Wendy receives information from Tony Pitzerelli regarding a BOLO follow-up on Elle Gable. A fingerprint match on a rock used to break in to “McGaren Outdoor Outfitters”, in Charlotte Hall, MD. Unfortunately, there is no surveillance footage, and it is unclear if anything was stolen.

Charlotte’s Rest Veterans Home, the location where Franklin Price currently resides, is in the vicinity of where the fingerprints were identified.

Wendy meets the rest of the agents at a café and then they head to Charlotte Hall, in two groups.

Investigating the break-in – 12:00pm#

Agent Jock and Nikita arrive in Charlotte Hall and locate the store. After surveilling the place for an hour, they decide to investigate. A police officer tells them that someone broke the storefront glass and that the owner and an insurance representative are currently evaluating the damage.

The agents head to a nearby café, with clear view of the store and monitor the situation. A little later, as an ambulance speeds down the street in front of them, they receive a message from Agent Myra.

Charlotte’s Rest Veterans Home – 12:00pm#

Agents Locke and Myra arrive at Charlotte’s Rest Veterans Home. Locke notices an ambulance at the side entrance of the main building. She is informed that paramedics responded when Mrs. Williamson’s heart monitor sent a response code. Dr. Kaufield is standing next to them filling out paperwork.

Both Agents enter the facility through the main entrance. Agent Myra instantly recognizes the music playing out through the speakers. It is a rendition of ‘Muskrat Love’, the live version from the 1980 performance on The Toni Tennille Show. He doesn’t know how, but somehow, he does.

At the reception area they notice a small red stain on the carpet leaking from beneath the nurse’s desk. Behind it, the dead body of a male nurse, his throat freshly torn out, warm blood still drips from the carotid artery. There is also a camera surveillance system, as well as a list of all the patients and their room numbers.

Room 121#

The narrow window of security glass has been covered with a bloody scarf. After a failed attempt by Agent Myra, Agent Locke uses a fire extinguisher to break down the door to Room 121.

Elle Gable faces the Agents holding a bone-handled knife above the chest of Franklin Price. She is flanked by a German shepherd and a giant schnauzer. She is looking at the Agents with something between sexual attraction and religious ecstasy.

Wendy yells at her and empties the fire extinguisher foam at Elle Gable. In turn she stabs Franklin Price, and the dogs attack the agents.

The results of the brief firefight:

  • Α giant schnauzer and a scared whimpering German shepherd.
  • Agent Locke near the brink of death.
  • Elle Gable lying down on the floor dead.
  • Agent Myra, the only one barely standing up, sends a message to the rest of the agents, while shouting for help.

Back to the cafe#

Jocko asks for the bill while an ambulance passes in front of him, screaming like Jocko back in Afghanistan when he realized the death of his comrades. He has a very bad feeling about this.
