Sunday October 29th, 1927
Frank sends his goons (Giuseppe and Giovanni) to the church sermon. When they show up back to report to him at 11:00am, they are excited about Elsie and her teachings.
The group gathers at Reymond’s house at noon and discuss their next course of action. First stop:
The Gas Station
At the base of the mountains. Two story building. Two gas pumps. No other cars parked outside.
Inside there is Caucasian 45yo person, dressed in mechanic’s overalls, and a 20yo Latino man.
Asking the white man, Barney, about the gas station, he says that he just works here and that it belongs to a businessman back in L.A.
He then heads back into the store and returns with a shotgun, threatens them, while calling out Joe to quickly come back into the store.
Meanwhile Max, after urinating behind a tree, heads back to the cabin which is located 100 yards behind the gas station. Finds a padlocked door that he cannot open, and then heads back inside the store.
Inside, a fight ensues! In the end Frank is gravely injured and receives first aid from Max. Barney and Joe.
We go through the premises and find this note
Inside there are thirteen people shackled on the wall. Levi is amongst them.
He said that on Saturday the 14th of October he got a call from the taxi agency to pick up a woman from the Church and told him to get to Maxella & Del Rey (the Warehouse) and staked out the place. Time passed by and then the woman entered the building. Told him to wait there. Gunshots were heard. He got worried, stepped inside, and saw chaos that he will never forget.
Creatures with fish heads attacked people who were dressed as mobsters (2 of them were at warehouse). He was surrounded by these creatures and then got knocked out.
The group decides to:
- Blow up the gas station.
- Free the prisoners.
- Take with them Levi and the two gangsters.
- Deliver Levi to Selena (Max and Barnabas)
- Deliver the gangsters to Lombardo (Frank)
Recuperation – 16:00
Raymond’s daughter has had nightmares. She took the time to write them down in a diary. Wavey see, a city rising from the depths. Cyclopean statues. Walking in the city, and even though the streets are empty, there is a sense of a presence there.
Calling Selena on the phone, she also tells us that experiences visions. A dark place. A cave maybe? Stone. Blood running down the walls. And then she wakes up.
Max calls his wife Jillian to come over to Raymonds to watch over his daughter. Then the group heads out to the church (Tassos takes over Raymond’s character).
The Angelic Ones Temple – 16:30
After the soup, the group helps pick up the dishes and the chairs. Max and Raymond cause a distraction to allow Barnabas (Varavas) to sneak into the secret door.
He succeeds entering and notices stairs leading to a lower floor. He goes down and finds a small empty room. With a Spot Hidden roll, he locates a level. By pulling it, an opening in the wall appears.
Vilma notices Barnabas missing, but Raymond manages to distract her and allow the man to emerge from the secret door, completely unseen.
Into the Basement – 18:00+
The sermon has already begun. The group enters the building from the back door (unlocked with a Mechanical Roll – Raymond). Barnabas attempt to stealth inside by pushing something, drops and shutters it.
The group quickly enters the door, descends the staircase, pulls the lever and reveal an opening in the wall. More stairs go further down. The walls are covered with ancient Aztec symbols.
There is an altar with blood:
Max finds and picks up a ritualistic dagger. An Extreme Occult roll revealed that the symbols in and around the altar are used to gather magical energy. He also touches the statue and feels an evil presence trying to get into his mind, and a smell of salt. An Extreme POW roll helps him resist.
Going upstairs - 18:00+
Right after the basement, the group heads upstairs. They go through Elsie’s room. Find a book called “The Witch-Cult of Western Europe” (Max took it). Also robes inside the wardrobe.
After that, they enter Vilma’s room. Behind the painting there is safe. Barnabas opens it with a Hard Locksmith roll. Inside there are piles of papers and three books.
WE PICK UP EVERYTHING AND LEAVE, before the sermon ends.

Paperwork: Needs more time to go through them.
Referrals to two locations: House is in Malibou (Carl’s House) and the Gas Station. Deeds of purchase (about a year). Vilma transferred them to her to Carl.
