October 27th, 1927
1 p.m. - Los Angeles
The members of the Ophiotaurus Society gathered at Dr. Reymond’s house. The door knocks and Selena Diaz shows up. A woman in her 20s (17 she admits). Mentions that her father has disappeared, and she keeps dreaming of this house. She lives 15 minutes away.
Her father, Levi Diaz, disappeared a few days ago on the Saturday 14th of October. He is a taxi driver at Speedy Taxi Cabs (Myrtle Cunningham is the owner). She talked to inspector Clive Brooker, but he did not pay much attention to her.
The taxi was found at the junction of Maxella and Del Rey.
Her father used to hang around with Mr. Dan, who was a gambler. Levi was very conservative, so he did not like his company much.
The group splits in two. Frank goes to his “underground” friends. The rest go to the corner of Maxella and Del Rey. A garage mechanic, named George, remembers the police showing up and asking questions. But does not recall any more details.
Raymond and Barnabas go across the street to the carpenter’s shop and talk to a man. He recalls the same but mentions that he knows there is something odd with the warehouse just over there. “The must be some sort of criminal.”
4 p.m. – Outside Diaz’s residence.
Selena invites the group in (except for Barnabas who went elsewhere). We deduce that her wife died 3 years ago.
Frank enters Selena’s room while she is in the kitchen. He does not find anything out of the ordinary.
They all depart for Speedy Taxi Cabs to meet Myrtle Cunningham.
5:13 p.m. – Speedy Taxi Cabs
Myrtle, blonde, early fifties, kind looking. Regarding Levi Diaz, he was on shift on the 14th. His closest friend is Dan Shippy. Diaz kept a logbook. His last passenger was Mrs. Gathry (we got the address which is remarkably close to where the taxi was found).
Max and Reymond are taken to Dan Shippey. He seems envious of Diaz.
6 p.m. – Gathry Bangalow
Mrs. Gathry welcomes us inside her house. Praises Levi Diaz. She mentions the Angelic’s Church and the pastor, Elsa something, who was seen outside, the Saturday that Diaz disappeared.
The group disperses and pledge to meet tomorrow morning at 10am to meet Dt. Brooker,
October 28th, 1927 – Los Angeles
Max bids farewell to his wife Jillian.
Barnabas wakes up and makes breakfast.
Reymond picks up Selena from the apartment and relays all the information acquired to her. She also mentions that she has seen leaflets about the Angelic Ones Church a few years ago.
10 p.m. Santa Monica PD
Meeting with Dt Clive Booker.
He tells us everything that we’ve already know about. When asked to mention Gathry the Angelic Church, he does not say anything else.
11 p.m. Angelic Ones Church
A newly designed building. Working hours:
- Wednesday 6 pm
- Saturday 6 pm
- Sunday 9 am & 6 pm
Soup kitchen hours:
- Sunday 4 pm
To the left of the building there is a parking lot with a single expensive-looking car.
The back door is open. A corridor. A door to the left containing incense main and materials for communion, another door leads to main area of the temple.
In the main area of the temple there are pews (for around 150 people) and weird architecture encountered outside the temple.
The ceiling is made from stained glass. There is a metallic cross behind the altar. There are ankhs, druid symbols of protection.
The group decides to leave without further investigation and come back at 6 pm.
15:00 – Library Research
Reymond rolls Extreme Library Use.
